Structure of ICAS Education Syllabus

The syllabus sets out the learning outcomes that meet the challenges of the dynamic business environment. The coverage is up to date and focused on the knowledge, skills and expertise our members need to operate at the highest levels in industry and commerce.

The structure of the ICAS education syllabus is given below. The syllabus contains 10 subjects leading to three stages of examinations:

  • Test of Competence (TC): Acquisition of knowledge base

  • Test of Professional Skills (TPS): Development of practical skills

  • Test of Professional Expertise (TPE): Judgment and application of expertise

Business Ethics forms a stand alone subject and assessment. Ethical considerations specific to each subject in Test of Competence and Test of Professional Skills are covered within the subject.
